The Newman Apostolate Fund was developed to support Catholic Newman Centers on college campuses throughout the state.
A Newman Center is palce for students to maintain their Catholic Identity and strengthen their faith while they are attending school.

At the February State Officers Meeting The Charities Board voted to change the name of our MRLD program to
the Intellectual Disabilities (ID) program. This move results from many
within the community of organizations including those beneficiaries of their
help who have supported the movement to refrain from using the “R” word
(retardation). Recognizing that the R word is indeed a medical reference,
the Charities Board wishes to join with the communities that are working to
be responsive to this sensitivity.
